Motorcyclist Killed After Lorry Reverses Out of Bangsar South Site

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 24 — A 32-year-old motorcyclist was killed yesterday after being hit by a lorry that unexpectedly reversed out of a construction site in front of The Sphere, Bangsar South.

According to Kuala Lumpur police, the lorry driver, also 32, had been refilling brake fluid when the vehicle reversed on its own, crashing through a safety gate and onto the main road. The motorcyclist lost control while trying to avoid the lorry and fell under its rear tyre, resulting in his death.

The lorry also struck a Honda Jazz, injuring the driver. The accident occurred around 8:34 am on Jalan Kerinchi.

The lorry driver was arrested and is under investigation for causing death by reckless driving.
