Dhanush has teamed up again with director Anand L Rai and music maestro AR Rahman for 'Tere Ishk Mein,' marking their reunion after the 2013 hit 'Raanjhaanaa'. Initially, there were rumors of Kiara Advani being considered for the lead role opposite Dhanush in this significant project. However, it's now confirmed that Kiara will not be part of the film.

Recent updates reveal that the filmmakers have selected the acclaimed actress Tripti Dimri to star as the female lead. Tripti gained fame for her role in the blockbuster 'Animal,' starring Ranbir Kapoor, which grossed over 900 crores worldwide. However, an official announcement is still pending. The team is currently in the process of finalizing the remaining cast and crew members.

Filming for the project is scheduled to begin in October or November 2024. The team intends to complete the entire shoot in a span of two months, opting for a continuous schedule in Varanasi and other locations across Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, Dhanush is presently filming 'Kubera' with Nagarjuna and Rashmika, directed by Sekhar Kammula.
