Kamal Haasan’s much-awaited film ‘Indian 2’ finally hit theatres nationwide last Friday. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film grossed Rs 26 crore on its opening day in India, with Rs 17 crore from the Tamil version, Rs 1.1 crore from the Hindi version, and Rs 7.9 crore from the Telugu version.
Indian 2’s debut of Rs 26 crore is slightly below the Rs 28 crore earned by Kamal Haasan’s previous blockbuster, Vikram received positive reviews and went on to become his highest -grossing film, with a global lifetime collection exceeding Rs 430 crore.
