KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for heavy rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds in Melaka and parts of Johor until 3 pm.
The areas in Johor include Tangkak, Muar, Mersing, and Kota Tinggi.
"The warning is issued when there are signs indicating thunderstorms with rainfall intensity exceeding 20mm per hour that are expected to last for around or over an hour.
"A thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning that is valid for a period not exceeding six hours for each issuance," it said in a statement.
