Xiaomi Malaysia unveiled its first-ever Xiaomi OpenWear Stereo earbuds yesterday. Featuring an open-ear design, these earbuds are priced at RM599.
Equipped with Hi-Res audio, the earbuds feature a 17x12mm dynamic driver and a DLC (diamond-like carbon) diaphragm. Xiaomi claims this enhances sound accuracy and quality, delivering detailed treble, rich midrange, and powerful bass. The LHDC high-resolution, low-latency codec supports up to 96kHz HD audio and is certified for Hi-Res Audio Wireless.
Despite its open-ear design, the OpenWear Stereo includes advanced AI noise cancellation for calls, ensuring clear communication in noisy settings. Built with a flexible nickel-titanium memory alloy, it is sturdy and boasts an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. Users can enjoy up to 7.5 hours of music playback on a single charge, or up to 38.5 hours with the charging case.
The earbuds feature smart touch controls, allowing users to take photos and perform other functions when paired with a phone. This requires Xiaomi HyperOS, which is compatible with other HyperOS tablets and devices. Additionally, the earbuds offer an audio-sharing function and active listening for balancing environmental sounds.
The Xiaomi OpenWear Stereo is available in Cosmic Gray and Sandstone Beige colors. It can be bought immediately from online platforms like mi.com, as well as from Xiaomi's official stores on Shopee and Lazada. While the regular price is RM599, early shoppers can take advantage of a special promotion, purchasing the earbuds for RM499 until July 22, 2024.
