Recently, it was revealed that Sudha Kongara is in discussions with Dhanush and Sivakarthikeyan to revive 'Purananooru.' Exciting news broke that Sivakarthikeyan has officially signed on to replace Suriya in 'Purananooru,' confirming his collaboration with Sudha Kongara.

'Purananooru' is now set to be produced by a new filmmaker, formerly an assistant director to Vignesh Shivan. An official announcement about this project is anticipated soon. Currently, Sivakarthikeyan is filming 'SK 23,' directed by AR Murugadoss. Meanwhile, Sudha Kongara's Hindi remake of 'Soorarai Pottru' has just hit theaters.
