The Tamil film 'Raayan' hit the big screens yesterday and the movie has received much acclaim and and postitive response from fans. Marking Dhanush's second directorial and his 50th projet in acting career, the music for it was composed by AR Rahman and the film had an ensemble cast.

Raayan' grossed Rs 12 crore at the box office on day 1 of its release and the movie is set to run successfully in theatres over the first weekend.

Prakash Raj owing to the success of the film, took to social media to share his gratitude to Dhanush.

The actor who previously collaborted with Dhanush for Thiruvilayadal Arambam' and 'Thiruchitrambalam', said, "Team #Raayan….the joy when your work is loved..bliss. Thank you audience.
