At the same time, he is directing Dhruv Vikram in the upcoming sports drama Bison. Besides his current projects, Mari Selvaraj is working on an untitled film with Dhanush for Wunderbar Studios. There are also widespread rumors that he is negotiating with Karthi and Superstar Rajinikanth for separate films. Mari Selvaraj confirmed, 'Once I finish my current film, I will be working with Dhanush again. After that, I plan to collaborate with Karthi. While shooting Mamannan, Karthi called me to hear a script I had prepared. I presented the story to him briefly, and he quickly understood its depth. We will be working together soon.

He added, 'I also had the chance to meet Superstar Rajinikanth, who praised my work. After completing these three projects, there's a good chance I’ll collaborate with him.' Mari Selvaraj also shared that he has met Thalapathy Vijay three times and narrated a story to him. However, he noted that a film with Vijay is unlikely, as Vijay plans to enter politics after finishing Thalapathy 69.
