As they sit at the top of the league with 21 points, four ahead of Real Madrid, Flick emphasized the need for improvement: "While seven wins is great, we can do better." He praised his players’ mentality and effort throughout the match.

Flick also commended stand-in goalkeeper Inaki Pena and declined to comment on reports linking Wojciech Szczesny to the club following Marc-Andre ter Stegen's knee surgery, which will keep him out for the season.
