Atletico Madrid announced a lifetime ban for a fan who threw objects onto the field during the intense derby against Real Madrid, which ended in a 1-1 draw. The match was paused for 15 minutes due to the disruption, as home fans hurled items like lighters at the opposing players. 

Following the incident, Atletico stated their commitment to eradicating violence in sports and will work with authorities to identify and expel other involved fans. Additionally, the club will soon implement a rule prohibiting clothing that conceals a person’s face, with immediate expulsion for violators. The next home game is set for October 20 against Leganes.
