SEREMBAN, Oct 9* — Police have arrested three men, aged 32 to 36, in connection with an alleged child abuse case involving a six-year-old boy in Batu 4, Port Dickson.

The incident came to light when a 67-year-old woman reported on October 3 that she found the boy crying and injured at a house. Preliminary investigations revealed that the child, an orphan whose father had died, had been abandoned by his mother since infancy. He was in the woman’s care in Klang until 2021, when he was handed over to his adoptive father.

The woman had maintained contact with the boy through video calls, but communication was lost at the beginning of this month. The complainant’s son visited the adoptive father’s house and discovered the boy injured, crying, and lying naked on the floor.

Following this, police conducted separate arrests at Taman Desa Rusa and Taman Dataran Segar Lukut at 3 AM on October 3. A background check revealed the suspects had prior criminal and drug offenses, with one testing positive for methamphetamine. Preliminary questioning indicated the suspects assaulted the boy for being stubborn and for frequently urinating in the house. Police seized a rattan and a water heater used in the abuse. The case is under investigation according to Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001.
