LONDON, Oct 9 — Cole Palmer has been named the 2023-24 England Men’s Player of the Year, according to the Football Association.*
The 22-year-old Chelsea midfielder topped the fans' vote, surpassing Jude Bellingham in second place and Bukayo Saka, who won the award the past two years, in third.
Palmer debuted for England in November 2023 during a 2-0 victory over Malta and has since earned nine senior caps, including five at Euro 2024, where he scored twice. Notably, he contributed to Ollie Watkins' late winner against the Netherlands in the semi-final and scored in the final against Spain.
This season, he has made an impressive impact in the Premier League, scoring six goals in seven matches and becoming the first Chelsea player to win the award since Ashley Cole in 2010.
