IPOH, Oct 9 — Sultan Nazrin Shah of Perak has called for a halt to the activities of GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd (GISBH) for deviating from true Islamic teachings, according to Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad.*
Saarani stated that the Sultan's request followed a report from the Perak Islamic Religious Department (JAIPk), which also highlighted several groups in Perak suspected of practicing deviant teachings.
On October 4, Saarani mentioned that JAIPk was preparing this report for the Sultan, and the state government plans to form a special committee to rehabilitate GISBH followers.
