Rajinikanth's film Vettaiyan hit theaters a few days ago, directed by Gnanavel and featuring music by Anirudh. With stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Bahad Basil, and Rana, expectations were high, especially following Rajinikanth's success with Jailer and Gnanavel's previous acclaim for Jai Bhim.

Despite the anticipation, Vettaiyan has received mixed reviews. While some fans appreciate Gnanavel's unique style, others feel it lacks the commercial elements typical of Rajini's films, leading to some disappointment.

However, the financial outlook appears promising. With a production budget of nearly 300 crores, the film has already recouped around 80% of its budget through digital rights, satellite, and audio sales. In its first three days, Vettaiyan has grossed approximately 150 crores.

Given this strong performance, it looks set to be a profitable venture for the production company. The film is now expanding its release to states like Kerala and Andhra Pradesh, indicating a potential hit in neighboring regions as well.
