Four Arrested in Bidor Factory Worker Murder: Police Probe Motive Behind the Crime

IPOH, Oct 23* — Four men, including two foreign nationals, have been arrested in connection with the murder of a 34-year-old man in Bidor. 

According to Tapah district police chief Supt Mohd Naim Asnawi, the arrests were made following a report from the victim’s sister-in-law, who witnessed an argument at a workers’ quarters around 2:30 am. During the altercation, one of the local suspects struck her husband with a hammer. After seeking medical help, they returned to find the victim unresponsive outside the house.

Police arrested two foreign workers, aged 28 and 37, as well as two local men, aged 33 and 44, identified as the main suspects. While the foreigners have no prior criminal records, the locals have previous offenses. 

The foreigners are currently remanded for seven days for further investigation, while police plan to seek a remand order for the locals. The motive for the murder remains unclear, and the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
