GEORGE TOWN, Oct 23* — Analysis of 13 samples from athletes at the 2024 Malaysian Games (Sukma) in Sarawak revealed no banned substances, according to National Youth and Sports Department (JBSN) director-general Azura Abidin.

Formerly with the Malaysian Anti-Doping Agency, Azura announced that the results, received this week, confirm this year's Sukma as doping-free. Over 300 samples were collected, with only 13 needing further testing.

Azura expressed pride in the achievement, emphasizing the government's commitment to maintaining a clean sports environment. Additionally, more than 60 Para Sukma athletes were tested, with their results pending.
