Suriya's Kanguva Shatters Records Before Release!*
Suriya's upcoming film Kanguva, set to release on November 14, has already broken the Telugu rights records held by Vijay's Goat and Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan. Directed by Siruthai Siva, this historical film marks a new direction for the filmmaker, known for blending action with family themes.
Produced by Gnanavel Raja under Studio Green, Kanguva features Disha Patani opposite Suriya and Bobby Deol as the villain. The film boasts music by Devi Sri Prasad and will be released in over 10 languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada, utilizing AI to replicate Suriya's voice across all versions.
With just three weeks until its release, promotions are already underway. Suriya has actively participated in events across northern states, including Delhi and Mumbai, and recently promoted the film in Andhra Pradesh, even joining Balakrishna's Unstoppable.
The pre-release buzz is significant, with expectations for Kanguva to reach box office heights comparable to Baahubali, with producer Gnanavel Raja anticipating earnings of 2000 crores. The film's Telugu rights sold for Rs. 25 crores, surpassing the previous records of Vijay's Goat (Rs. 17 crores) and Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan (Rs. 16 crores), marking a remarkable achievement before its official release.
