Director Lokesh Kanagaraj proudly claims to be Kamal Haasan's number one fan, a title he was never willing to give up. His admiration for the global icon led to the opportunity to direct Kamal Haasan in the blockbuster Vikram, which became a massive hit and earned widespread praise for Lokesh’s direction. 

However, it has now come to light that Lokesh's maternal uncle is the real reason behind his Kamal obsession. Lokesh recalls being taken to the theater at 5 to watch a Kamal Haasan film, which sparked his love for the actor. He fondly remembers the time when Kamal and Rajini’s films often clashed during festivals like Pongal and Diwali. 

Fans also associate a special ring on Lokesh’s hand with his fandom, which now has a sentimental connection to his uncle. Currently, Lokesh is busy directing Coolie with Rajinikanth, adding another feather to his cap.
