FAM Slaps Three-Match Ban on JDT's Arif Aiman and Perak's Tommy Mawat After Heated Clash*

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 19 — The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) disciplinary committee has imposed a three-match ban on Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) winger Arif Aiman Hanapi and Perak FC's Tommy Mawat Bada following a violent altercation during a Super League match on November 17 at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium.

Arif Aiman received his suspension for landing a punch on Tommy's cheek, while Tommy was banned for headbutting Arif and grabbing his neck. Both players were found guilty of unsporting conduct under Article 59 of the FAM Disciplinary Code.

Arif’s ban includes the Malaysia Cup Round of 16 matches against Kuala Lumpur Rovers on November 20 and 30, and a Super League clash with Kuala Lumpur City on December 8. Tommy will miss the Malaysia Cup matches against Kelantan Darul Naim on November 22 and 30, and a Super League game with Kedah Darul Aman on December 4.

Both players have been given stern warnings, with further sanctions possible if similar incidents occur. They also have the option to appeal the decision.

The incident occurred in the 83rd minute when Tommy blocked Arif's run, sparking a scuffle that escalated quickly.
