Vijay's Son Jason Sanjay's Debut Film: Thaman to Compose Music as Anirudh Bows Out

Jason Sanjay, son of actor Vijay, is set to direct his debut film, with music by popular composer Thaman, after Anirudh was unable to take on the project due to his busy schedule. Jason, who has expressed a desire to pursue directing rather than acting, was given the opportunity by Lyca Productions after completing his film studies in Canada.

While the film’s announcement came over a year ago, details on the cast and crew have been sparse, leading to speculation about delays. It's now reported that actors Dhruv Vikram, Atharva, and Sandeep Kisan are likely to star in the film, which will begin shooting in January after the pooja ceremony in December. The film is expected to be released within the next six months.

Jason’s journey to directing follows his early appearances in Vijay’s Pokiri and Veedikkaran, as well as his work on short films, and his father’s advice to carve his own path in the industry.
