Kane's Hat-Trick Leads Bayern to 3-0 Win Over Augsburg, Extends Bundesliga Lead
MUNICH, Nov 23 — Harry Kane netted a stunning hat-trick, including two goals in stoppage time, to secure Bayern Munich a 3-0 victory over Augsburg and extend their lead at the top of the Bundesliga to eight points. The win, Bayern’s sixth consecutive clean sheet, kept them undefeated with 29 points, as they remain on track for a dominant season.
Kane, now with 14 league goals this season, opened the scoring with a 63rd-minute penalty and added another in stoppage time after a VAR review, following a foul by Augsburg’s Keven Schlotterbeck. He completed his hat-trick moments later with a brilliant header from Leon Goretzka’s cross.
Bayern, who dominated possession, were kept at bay in the first half by Augsburg goalkeeper Nediljko Labrovic, but Kane's clinical finishing ultimately broke the deadlock. With a busy schedule ahead, including a Champions League clash with PSG, Kane is focused on maintaining Bayern's momentum.
Bayern’s 29 points place them well ahead of second-placed RB Leipzig, who have 21.
