AC Milan Crush Sassuolo 6-1 to Reach Coppa Italia Quarters
AC Milan made a dominant 6-1 victory over Serie B side Sassuolo at San Siro to secure a spot in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals. Samuel Chukwueze scored twice in the first half, with additional goals from Tijjani Reijnders, Rafael Leao, Davide Calabria, and Tammy Abraham.
The game was effectively decided by the 23rd minute with Milan leading 4-0, thanks to Chukwueze’s brace and strikes from Reijnders and Leao. Sassuolo briefly replied with a goal from Samuele Mulattieri, but Milan sealed the win with Abraham's finish in the 61st minute.
Milan now await the winner of the AS Roma vs Sampdoria tie. In other Coppa Italia action, Bologna triumphed 4-0 over Monza to also reach the quarters, with goals from Tommaso Pobega, Riccardo Orsolini, Benjamin Dominguez, and Santiago Castro. They will face either Atalanta or Cesena next.
