Soori’s Next Movie: Aishwarya Lakshmi to Star Opposite Him as Lead Heroine

Soori, who made a successful transition from comedian to lead actor with the hit film Viduthal, continues to rise in Tamil cinema. After the success of Viduthal, he earned hero roles in Garudan and Kottukkaali, with Kottukkaali even winning awards at international film festivals.

Currently, Soori is busy promoting the highly anticipated Viduthal 2, directed by Vetrimaaran, set for release on December 20. Following that, Soori is set to star in a new film directed by Prashanth Pandiaraj, who previously worked on the web series Vilunthu. Soori has undergone a complete transformation for this role, sporting a beard and an entirely new look.

In exciting news for fans, it has been revealed that actress Aishwarya Lakshmi, who gained widespread recognition for her role as Poonguzhali in Ponniyin Selvan, will play the female lead opposite Soori in this upcoming film. This marks the first time the two actors will share screen space together.

Aishwarya Lakshmi, who made her Tamil debut in Sundar C’s Action, has also starred alongside Dhanush in Jagame Thanthiram. Following her success in Ponniyin Selvan, she has completed filming Thak Life, a project produced by Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan, set to release in June 2025.
