KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 16 — The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) has announced a major restructuring, including the appointment of two key coaches to strengthen the national football teams.

Australian Peter Cklamovski, formerly an assistant under Ange Postecoglou during Australia's 2015 AFC Asian Cup win, has been named head coach of Harimau Malaya. His focus will be on preparing the team for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers and improving Malaysia's FIFA ranking.

Meanwhile, Nafuzi Zain will take charge of the under-23 team, leveraging his expertise in youth development. His role will focus on nurturing talent for the senior squad.

Both coaches will officially begin their roles on January 1, 2025.

As part of its restructuring, FAM is also enhancing management, technology, and medical support for the national teams. A new CEO and improved medical staff will be appointed to boost player performance and recovery, marking the association's push for long-term success and professionalism in Malaysian football.
