The shooting of Ajith Kumar's film Vidamayuyaltsi was completed yesterday, and fans were relieved to hear it will still release for Pongal as planned. There had been some concern after the sudden announcement two days ago that actress Ramya would join the cast, with just ten days left for the release.
However, the official statement confirmed that the film will indeed hit theatres for Pongal, much to the excitement of Ajith’s fans. This situation has sparked comparisons with Ajith’s 2006 hit Varal, directed by K.S. Ravikumar. Like Vidamayutshi, Varal faced numerous delays, including financial issues and shooting interruptions, before being released later than initially planned. Despite the setbacks, Varal went on to become a huge success, breaking the common belief that delayed films don't succeed.
Fans now hope that Vidamayutshi, like Varal, will also defy expectations and achieve great success, with both films sharing similar struggles and titles starting with 'V'.
