Keerthy Suresh is currently riding high on the excitement of her Bollywood debut with director Kalees’ Baby John, a remake of Atlee’s Tamil blockbuster Theri (2016), which originally featured “Thalapathy” Vijay in the lead role. Interestingly, in Baby John, Keerthy stepped into a role previously portrayed by her close friend and fellow actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu, adding an extra layer of joy to her experience. Meanwhile, Keerthy recently revealed that it was Samantha herself who suggested her name during discussions about Baby John.

“She probably had me in mind when this was happening; that’s what Varun (Dhawan) also told me. I can’t be grateful enough for that. It’s so sweet of her to say, ‘Keerthy will be able to pull off this character.’ Her performance in Theri is one of my favourites in Tamil. Honestly, I was very scared”.
