Shruti Haasan, who is the daughter of Kamal Haasan and Sarika, recently opened up about her faith, which she believes has been a source of strength in her life. What’s unique about her devotion is that it was not instilled in her by her parents. Instead, Shruti discovered her faith on her own, and it has become an integral part of her life.

When asked about what has made her strong in life, Shruti told Pinkvilla, “My faith in God.” She elaborated, “My home is more of an atheist home. My mum is spiritual but my dad, never. So we never had the concept of God while growing up, I discovered it myself. I very much believe in the power of God and that power of God has taken me through and to many things in my life.” Shruti’s parents, Kamal Haasan and Sarika, are known for their liberal and progressive views, and it’s interesting to note that their daughter has chosen a different path, one that is rooted in spirituality.
