Naomi Osaka and Rapper Cordae Split Ahead of Australian Open, No Hard Feelings

MELBOURNE — Naomi Osaka confirmed she and American rapper Cordae have ended their relationship just days before the Australian Open. The couple, who have a young daughter, Shai, had been together since 2019.

On Instagram, the four-time Grand Slam champion shared, “Cordae and I are no longer in a relationship, but there’s no bad blood. He’s a great person and an awesome dad. I’m grateful for our time together, especially for our daughter, who is my biggest blessing.”

Osaka, who recently reached her first WTA final since 2022 at the Auckland Classic, withdrew from the final due to an abdominal injury after winning the first set 6-4. Despite the setback, she is not expected to be severely impacted ahead of the Australian Open starting this Sunday.
