MetMalaysia Issues Three-Day Rain Warning for Six States Starting January 10"
KUALA LUMPUR — The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a continuous rain warning for six states from January 10, expected to last for three days. The affected areas include Terengganu, Pahang, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor, and Sarawak.
Specific regions at risk include Hulu Terengganu, Marang, Dungun, Kemaman (Terengganu); Jerantut, Maran, Kuantan, Bera, Pekan, Rompin (Pahang); Kuala Pilah, Jempol, Tampin (Negeri Sembilan); as well as Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sibu, Mukah, Bintulu, and other areas in Sarawak. The entire states of Melaka and Johor are also included.
Additionally, MetMalaysia has issued a separate warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds in Sarawak, lasting until 4 pm today, affecting areas such as Kuching, Samarahan, Sibu, Betong, and Miri.
