Rangers' Title Hopes Take a Hit in 1-1 Draw with Dundee
Rangers' Scottish Premiership title chances took another blow with a 1-1 draw at Dundee, leaving them 15 points behind leaders Celtic. Despite the disappointing result, manager Philippe Clement reaffirmed that the club's leadership remains “200 percent” behind him.
Rangers have struggled on the road this season, with just three wins in 11 away games, diminishing their hopes of catching Celtic, who beat Dundee United 2-0 earlier that day.
Dundee took the lead early in the sixth minute through Oluwaseun Adewumi, capitalising on poor defending from Rangers. However, Rangers responded in the 34th minute, with Vaclav Cerny equalising with their first shot on target.
Despite their efforts, the visitors couldn't find a winner in the second half, and frustrations boiled over as the team was booed off at the final whistle. Clement's squad, ravaged by injuries and suspensions, was missing key players, and young defender Clinton Nsiala struggled in his first start.
The point leaves Rangers' title bid hanging by a thread, with their next challenge looking even steeper.
