ALOR STAR: The Fire and Rescue Department has launched an operation to locate a 7-year-old autistic boy who went missing after falling into a drain near his home in Taman Tunku Tabor here.
Kedah Fire and Rescue Department Zone 1 chief Ahmad Aminuddin Abd Rahim said the operation was mounted following a distress call from the boy's mother about 7.30pm.
"Based on information from the boy's mother, she found her son's clothes and slippers near the 1.5m-deep drain, about 200m from their home, but he was missing.
"The search is still ongoing along the drain, connected to Sungai Kedah near the housing area," he said in a statement.
