Ajith Kumar Focuses on Racing, Won’t Sign Films During Racing Season

Ajith Kumar is putting his acting career on hold to focus on his racing ambitions. Speaking at the 24H Dubai 2025 event, he confirmed that he won't be signing any new films during the racing season. The actor, who is also a team owner at Ajith Kumar Racing, shared that he plans to balance both acting and racing, with a break in October-March dedicated to films.

When asked if his film contracts restricted his racing, Ajith replied, “I don’t need to be told what to do. I’ll focus on motorsports during the racing season, and act in films when it's off-season.”

Ajith, a certified race car driver, also revealed his passion for racing began in his youth, first with motorcycles and later with four-wheelers. His team will compete in the Porsche 992 class alongside his teammates at the upcoming race.

On the film front, his upcoming movie Good Bad Ugly, directed by Adhik Ravichandran, will release on April 10, in direct competition with Dhanush’s Idly Kadai. Meanwhile, Vidaamuyarchi is still awaiting its release date.
