KUALA LUMPUR — The Asia Pacific Predator League 2025 (APL 2025) has concluded with two esports teams emerging victorious and each pocketing RM292,500.

Held at the Malaysian International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec), the tournament saw 28 teams from 14 regions compete for a share of the US$400,000 (RM1.8 million) prize pool.

In Dota 2, Malaysia's Myth Avenue Gaming (MAG) triumphed in a dominant 2-0 win over Indonesia's Helios, clinching the championship title and the Predator Shield. MAG’s Chucky called the win a personal victory after a long wait for the title, having previously competed in last year's APL without success.

In Valorant, Indonesia’s Alter Ego defeated the Philippines' ZOL Esports 2-0 in a thrilling final, securing the prestigious title and prize money. Alter Ego's coach, Asteriskk, shared that the team plans to save part of the prize money to fund future tournaments.

The event also featured performances by K-pop stars Sandara Park and Minzy from 2NE1, alongside local talents like Aina Abdul and Hael Husaini. Malaysian Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh attended the opening ceremony, highlighting the government's commitment to investing RM20 million to develop the local esports scene.

The tournament attracted thousands of fans and was streamed live on Predator Gaming's YouTube channel, garnering extensive regional viewership.
