Superstar Rajinikanth is currently working with director Lokesh Kanagaraj on his next film Coolie, produced by Sun Pictures. The official teaser for the much-awaited sequel is set to release on January 14, 2025, at 6 pm, during the Pongal festivities.

Jailer (2023), directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, was a massive success, grossing ₹605-650 crore worldwide. The film, which saw Rajinikanth in the role of a retired police officer seeking vengeance, was praised for his performance and Anirudh Ravichander’s hit soundtrack.
