Police Probe Fake ‘Datuk Seri’ for Offering Unlicensed Health and Beauty Treatments in Puchong"

KUALA LUMPUR — Authorities are investigating an individual suspected of using a fake ‘Datuk Seri’ title and providing unlicensed health and beauty services in Puchong.

Serdang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner AA Anbalagan, confirmed that an investigation was launched after social media posts revealed the individual’s false claim to the prestigious title.

The suspect is also accused of offering treatments without proper licensing or recognition from the Ministry of Health Malaysia.

Investigations are ongoing under Section 3 of the 2017 Award-Related Offences Act for using an unapproved title.

The Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) confirmed that the premises lacked a valid operating license and conducted a raid yesterday, making several seizures.

The case is still under investigation, with authorities urging the public to avoid speculation that could hinder the process.
