No Malaysians Among Victims of Deadly Hotel Fire in Turkey, Confirms Wisma Putra

PUTRAJAYA — Wisma Putra confirmed that no Malaysians were among the 76 people killed in a devastating fire at the Grand Kartal Hotel in the Kartalkaya Ski Resort, Bolu, Turkey, which also injured 51 others.

The Foreign Ministry stated that it is closely monitoring the situation through Malaysia’s Embassy in Ankara and Consulate General in Istanbul. They also expressed condolences to Turkey and the victims’ families, offering prayers for strength during this tragic time.

Malaysians in Turkey who need consular assistance can contact the Malaysian Embassy in Ankara or the Consulate General in Istanbul via provided phone numbers and emails.

Reports indicate that 52 of the deceased have been identified. The fire, which occurred during Turkey's school holiday season, took the 238 guests by surprise the night before.
