Couple Arrested for Allegedly Concealing Birth and Death of Baby in Telok Kemang

PORT DICKSON — A young couple has been arrested for allegedly hiding the birth and death of their baby girl at a house in Telok Kemang. Police received an emergency call from Port Dickson Hospital at 11:13 am, reporting that a local teenager had given birth, but the infant was missing.

Authorities later found the baby, who was fully developed but already deceased, hidden in a bag at the house. The infant showed signs of injuries to her chest, suspected to have been caused by a sharp object.

An 18-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man were arrested last night at separate locations. The couple, who have no criminal history, reportedly concealed the birth and death due to fear and anxiety about their families' reactions.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code, and the suspects will appear in court for a remand application.
