SHAH ALAM: Selangor police confirmed three men, believed to be foreigners, were treated for gunshot wounds at Serdang Hospital yesterday morning. The victims, all conscious, were injured in an incident where members of the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) fired in self-defense after being attacked by two men with machetes. One person was killed and four others wounded. Three of the injured were sent to Serdang, while another was taken to Klang Hospital.
The victims were reportedly part of a group of five men in a boat that rammed into an MMEA vessel during a patrol near Tanjung Rhu. The boat was later found stranded near Carey Island, with two men, suspected to be Indonesians, found aboard—one dead and the other injured.
