Prolintas COO Charged with RM70,000 Bribe for SUKE Project

KUALA LUMPUR — Rostam Shahrif Tami, the Chief Operating Officer of Prolintas Group, was charged today at the Sessions Court with soliciting and accepting a RM70,000 bribe. The 59-year-old pleaded not guilty to the charge, which alleges he received the bribe from a Satunas Technologies representative on April 12, 2023, to award work packages for the Sungai Besi-Ulu Kelang Elevated Expressway (SUKE).

The charge, under Section 16(a)(A) of the MACC Act 2009, carries a penalty of up to 20 years in prison and a fine of at least RM10,000. Judge Rosli Ahmad set bail at RM60,000, ordered Rostam to surrender his passport, and required him to report monthly to the MACC. Rostam, currently on garden leave, was represented by lawyer Dzulkifli Ahmad, while Deputy Public Prosecutor Nor Diana Nor Azwa led the prosecution.
