PETALING JAYA: Malaysia will assist in rebuilding Gaza by developing public amenities through East Asia cooperation, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
In a video address on January 29, Anwar confirmed that Malaysia, alongside Japan, will launch a fund for Gaza’s reconstruction under the East Asian countries programme (CEAPAD). Malaysia plans to start by constructing a school, hospital, and mosque with support from the public and private sectors.
Anwar reiterated Malaysia's commitment to Japan’s initiative to reconstruct Gaza and expressed full support for the July CEAPAD conference.
