THE National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) is prioritising savings as a key strategy to reduce public reliance on loans and ensure greater access to higher education.
This focus underscores the growing importance of saving for the education of future generations, paving the way for more sustainable opportunities in higher learning.
"By saving, we are laying the foundation for a strong financial future," PTPTN chairman Datuk Seri Norliza Abdul Rahim said at the launch of the 'Cabutan WOW! Simpan SSPN 2025' campaign on Monday.
"Therefore, start saving with Simpan SSPN to provide more secure educational opportunities for children, especially in facing rising higher education costs."
The annual 'Cabutan WOW! Simpan SSPN 2025' offers a variety of exciting prizes for winners.
As part of the Higher Education Ministry, PTPTN has been promoting savings through the National Education Savings Scheme (Simpan SSPN) since 2004.
The initiative aims to cultivate a savings culture and improve financial literacy among Malaysians.
PTPTN is committed to establishing Simpan SSPN as the leading education savings product in Malaysia, in line with its Strategic Plan 2021-2025.
This year's Cabutan WOW! campaign — from Jan 1 to Dec 31 — offers more than RM1.5 million in prizes for 550 winners.
The draws include the Annual Draw and two special Series Draws — WOW! Gong Xi Raya (Jan 1 to April 30) and WOW! Superheroes (July 1 to Oct 31).
Also present at the launch event was PTPTN chief executive officer Ahmad Dasuki Abdul Majid.
