Bayer Leverkusen have secured Argentina’s Emiliano Buendia on a six-month loan from Aston Villa, the club confirmed yesterday. The move comes as Leverkusen looks to bolster their squad amid injuries to Amine Adli and Martin Terrier, and with striker Victor Boniface reportedly set to leave during the winter window. Buendia, 28, recently extended his contract with Villa for another year but departs after scoring 10 goals in 97 appearances since joining from Norwich in 2021.
