Police have recorded the statement of a woman who was slapped by her husband at a Kota Warisan shopping mall, as seen in a viral video. Sepang police chief ACP Norhizam Bahaman confirmed the woman gave her statement at the Sepang police station on Monday night. Authorities are actively searching for the husband, who took the wife and their child to Nilai after the incident before returning them home. He has not been seen since. The case is under investigation for assault (Section 323) and domestic violence (Section 18 of the Domestic Violence Act 1994). The video shows the husband slapping his wife and threatening her as she recoils. The couple then leaves the mall.
