National Pictures has announced plans to release a digitally enhanced version of the classic 1952 film Parasakthi, directed by Krishnan-Panju and featuring Sivaji Ganesan’s iconic debut. The film, scripted by Karunanidhi and produced by Perumal Mudaliar, remains a landmark in Tamil cinema, known for its powerful dialogues and emotional performances. As the film approaches its 75th anniversary, National Pictures has requested that no other movie use the title "Parasakthi," as they hold the full rights to it.
However, concerns have arisen as a new film starring Sivakarthikeyan and directed by Sudha Kongara has been titled Parasakthi. This film, produced by Don Pictures, features Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa, and Leela, with music by G.V. Prakash Kumar. National Pictures has urged others to respect the title’s legacy.
