Malaysia Reaffirms Support for Palestinian Justice, Urges Full Gaza Ceasefire Implementation

KUALA LUMPUR — Malaysia has reiterated its strong support for the Palestinian cause, calling for the full implementation of the January 15 ceasefire as a crucial step toward lasting peace. Malaysia's Ambassador to the Netherlands, Datuk Roseli Abdul, emphasized the importance of upholding Palestinian statehood and justice in a joint statement made at the inauguration of The Hague Group in the Netherlands.

Roseli condemned the ongoing violence and destruction in Gaza, stating that Malaysia remains committed to supporting Palestinian legal recourse at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and upholding international law. He also stressed the need to recognize Palestinian statehood and end Israel’s violations of UN resolutions.

Calling for global unity similar to the fight against apartheid in South Africa, Roseli urged the international community to align with the aspirations of the Palestinian people. The statement was made during the formal launch of The Hague Group, which includes representatives from countries like Belize, Bolivia, and South Africa.
