KUALA KRAI — Since last week, Kuala Krai has been experiencing a cold spell with temperatures ranging from 18°C to 21°C, similar to the cool climate of Cameron Highlands. Locals have reported this as the chilliest period in 11 years, with some recalling the cold snap of 2014.

Residents are bundling up in warm clothing and using hot water for showers, especially in the early mornings. The cold is most felt from late evening to around 9am, accompanied by thick fog, which makes driving hazardous.

Hamdan Mahadi, a local resident, shared that the fog and cold mornings require extra caution while driving. Meanwhile, Jabal Rahmat uses hot water to stay warm during showers as he navigates the chilly weather.
