Alphonso Davies Rejects Real Madrid, Extends Bayern Munich Contract Until 2030"

Bayern Munich confirmed on Tuesday that Alphonso Davies has signed a five-year extension, keeping him at the club until 2030. The 24-year-old Canada captain had been linked with a move to Real Madrid but chose to remain with Bayern, where he's won five Bundesliga titles and the Champions League.

Davies, who joined Bayern from Vancouver Whitecaps in 2019, expressed excitement about continuing his journey with the club, saying, "I’ve already achieved a lot here, but there’s more to come."

The extension follows Bayern's decision to also extend captain Manuel Neuer's contract until 2026. Reports suggest other key players like Jamal Musiala and Joshua Kimmich could be next in line for new deals.

Davies, sidelined with a hamstring injury, has made 220 appearances for Bayern, scoring 12 goals and providing 34 assists. He has been a key figure for both Bayern and Canada, leading the national team as captain since 2024.
