This week’s theater and OTT releases are set to bring some exciting competition, starting with Ajith's much-anticipated Vidamuyarchi, which hits theaters on February 6. Directed by Magizh Thirumeni, the film is a Tamil remake of the Hollywood movie Breakdown, starring Trisha, Aarav, Arjun, and Regina, with music by Anirudh.

Competing with Vidamuyarchi is the Telugu film Thandel, releasing on February 7. Starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, the film, which revolves around fishermen, is directed by Sandhu Mondetti, with music by Devi Sri Prasad. It has also been dubbed in Tamil.

On February 7, two films will also release on OTT: Game Changer, directed by Shankar, featuring Ram Charan, Anjali, S.J. Suryah, and Kiara Advani. Despite its theatrical flop, it will stream on Amazon Prime. Additionally, Madraskaran, starring Shaan Nigam and Niharika, will be available on Aha OTT. This film, which was released during Pongal, also streams from February 7.
