IPOH — Several roads in Ipoh will be closed and diverted for four days starting Feb 10 for the Thaipusam celebrations. The chariot and kavadi processions from Sri Maha Mariamman Temple to Sri Subramaniar Temple will cause staged closures along key roads, including Jalan Sungai Pari, Jalan Tun Perak, and Jalan Raja Musa Aziz. With an estimated 500,000 visitors expected, police advise motorists to use alternative routes like Jalan Kuala Kangsar and Jalan Sultan Nazrin Shah. Travelers are urged to plan ahead and follow traffic police instructions.
