KOTA BARU — National Muay Thai star Ahmad Nor Iman Aliff Rakib has set his sights on making history, hoping to represent Malaysia in the Olympics when Muay Thai becomes a medal sport. The 21-year-old is determined to bring home Malaysia's first Olympic Muay Thai medal, as the sport gains popularity, especially among the youth.
Aliff Rakib, who recently knocked out Russian fighter Shamil Adukhov in 70 seconds at the One Fight Night event, believes Malaysia has great potential on the global Muay Thai stage. He aims to win the One Championship belt next, with a goal to be the first Malaysian to claim it.
Encouraging young fans, Aliff stressed the importance of passion and perseverance over financial gain, saying that true success comes from dedication, both mentally and physically.
